Deborah Rhea
Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. She is best known for her role as
attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was
given the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series,
Miniseries, or Television Film. She was also on the NBC show Whitney
(2011–2013) and ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash
2011–2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 1972.
Her mother was the executive secretary of the United States Navy, her father
was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in
Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her
childhood. She followed in the footsteps her parents and grandparents by
studying painting, architecture, and drawing at a young age. As she pursued her
love of the visual arts, she developed a passion for acting. She was also
introduced to modern theater in college. She graduated with a BA in Studio Art
from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn began her college career as an
actor and was encouraged by her acting teacher. In order to be noticed she was
employed in the ancillary positions in D.C.'s theatre industry. She eventually
got prominent roles in local theater productions however, she had to take odd
jobs to earn a living as she landed roles in various short instructional
industrial films. Soon, she was able to find roles in television productions.
She was often seen in roles that were "very humorous and humorous"
like her role model Bea Arthur. But, the majority of her roles were short-run
series cancelled after two or three seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in
the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn plays Kim
Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love-interest for the Jimmy McGill character.
