Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy was born on November 25 in 1968. She is a Canadian actress, singer and musician. Her most well-known roles include American television's Law & Order where she was the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons and Crossing Jordan for six. She has also been an actress in films such as RoboCop 3: Most Wanted as well as the independent films Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. Her father, John Hennessy, was a meat salesman and sales/marketing executive. It was a job that required extensive travel and caused frequent changes for the entire family. Maxine her mother, who was Maxine's died in 1982. Her daughter was left in the care of Eleanor her paternal grandmother. She has a younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister, Jacqueline, who is a magazine writer and TV host in Canada. Hennessy's ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish and Italian descendents from her father's and mostly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was her graduation. She would busk in the subway system of Toronto. Her sister and she made their acting debut as twin callgirls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the role, stated that she was shortlisted to be the character Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role ran for three seasons. She left the show in 1996.
