Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American
actress. Her role includes daytime television and episodic guest performances
and TV-produced films. Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her role
as Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her
character on CBS's soap the show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer
was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology
professor as well as Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi. When her parents
divorced the family relocated to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, she moved
with her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. However, when Sofer
was just 5 years old, they lived in Western Pennsylvania. The family was based
in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of Beth Samuels
Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern
Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer grew up in North
Bergen where her father was the rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After having
graduated from North Bergen High School she attended Montclair State College.
Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. The first
time she appeared on the show was in 1993 as the manager of the band. Her first
appearance on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap hosting
host. One of her most well-known roles is that of Lois Cerullo, a nurse on
General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of September 1993 to September 24
1997. Later she returned to the series as a guest-star (February 7 1997 -
September 30 in 1997; October 2, 1997 October 2nd, 1997). Sofer was given the
Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in a Drama Series
for her portrayal of Lois. Sofer was asked to join CBS soap opera The Bold and
the Beautiful in the new role in the role of Quinn Fuller. Her first episode
aired July 12. Sofer has been a guest actor/supporting cast member in a number
of high-profile primetime television shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place.
The premiere episode debuted on July 12.
