Renee Kathleen Zellweger
Renee Kathleen Zellweger, was born in
Katy, Texas on April 25 the year 1969. Her mother Kjellfrid (Andreassen) is an
ex-nurse and midwife born in Norway. Kven (Finnish), and is also of Swedish and
Norwegian descent. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is a Swiss-born engineer.
The couple got married in the year 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older
brother. He is a marketing executive who was born on the 15th of February 1967.
When she was working at the drama group, Renee became interested in acting. She
took an acting course at the University of Texas (Austin) and began to think
about acting as a profession. She had a strong desire to become an actor after
she graduated, but Hollywood can be hard to break into. Renee decided not to
quit Texas and auditioned in Houston for roles. Matthew McConaughey was another
Hollywood newcomer she met while working on the set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre
2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee saw him working on a project , and she
auditioned. She was offered the role of Love and the 45 (1994). The role earned
her enough praise that she decided to move to Los Angeles. Another part in The
Whole Wide World (1996) followed which led to her first big break. Cameron
Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise.
Crowe was looking at the actresses Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder
(Winona Ryder), and Marisa Tomei when he discovered Zellweger's performance on
The Whole Wide World (1996). The audition was conducted by Zellweger to ensure
that he was his Dorothy Boyd. After her successes in a handful of independent
films, Renee felt confident enough to return to the big-budget Hollywood film
industry. Meryl Streep appeared alongside her in One True Thing (1998). Also,
she acted in Me, Myself & Irene (2000), opposite Jim Carrey, and soon
after, she began to date Jim Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) - in the
leading role.
